I would think he could access the messages without going to court if the account was in his name, but perhaps I am off base. If he does have to go through the court system he would have to file a case before attempting to get the messages. Since you asked this question, I am guessing you cheated on your boyfriend, but there is nothing illegal about that. I think he is just playing you. Maybe find a new boyfriend.
