Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I was at a club tonight the first time i went they informed me i had to where a button up shirt and better shoes keep in mind i was in a polo and dockers. Next time i show up they decieded to pat me down not once but twice after making put my knife back in the car . they did not pat down any one else that i saw. They have a camera system also and it is my understanding that you must me informed about this . There is no signs any where sating any of these things.

most of the other clubs we attend state what is allowed and what is not and also include a refusal of service.
