Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Trying again, just in case. I asked this question already, but didn't receive confirmation. So... If someone did not respond within the 20 days allowed on form POS-015 Notice and Acknowledgement of Receipt, what do we do next??? Attached forms were citations: RI-A810 Freedom from Parental Custody and Control, and RI-A821 Adoption. There was also an self-addressed stamped envelope included.

You might just have to personally serve the individual, preferably by registered process server or by a disinterested person, and file the proof of service with the court. At the appropriate time, you could then ask the court to award you the costs incurred for service of process.

Since the recipient did not sign and return the Notice and Acknowledgment, the papers have not been served. You will need to serve the papers another way.
