Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Civil rights violated
I would apreciate some legal help.Is it against the law for a school police officer to pick a student up by the neck, and throw the minor on the ground in a very violent manner with out warning? And after the fact claims it was done in order to break up the fight. This happened to my 14year old daughter, and now she is suffering with back pains and neck pain and stiffness. The officer is about a 200-300 pound man,my daughter is only 5ft4 and 125lbs.I feel like he used excessive & unnecesary force, and I woluld like to know if I have a claim against him? and would be very grateful for some legal assistance.
