Colection

I won a judgment here in California, but the con man skip this state and now reside in Mississippi. On the original judgment of $4,500 could I ad10% to it and how do I collect?

You would have to seek a sister-state judgment in Mississippi, unless the con man has a bank account or other assets in California. Usually, the court will apply California's legal rate of interest to the judgment.

The best way is to search for an attorney in the county in Mississippi to which he moved, who does collections. But you should evaluate whether it's worth spending the money if it appears that the money might not be collectable.
