Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

a company published my vehicle license plate as a principal part of an advertisement without my knowledge or consent. I guess they thought my personalized plate was cool. is that legal?

It may be an invasion of privacy depending on how it was used. As it is publicly displayed, it is not confidential, but if they are making money off of you, you might have an interest in it. Good luck!
