Confiscate law
If an authority confiscates something until the end of the day and they lose that item, are they responsible to pay or replace the item. This case was about an ipod taken away at school.

Yes. Not only for the iPod, but also for all the music on it that you purchased if you don't have backups. (Next time, don't listen in class!)
