Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

conservatorship

what if the conservatee is being denied their right to an attorney? how can they ensure that their rights are met? she is handicapped but able to say where she wants to live. the conservator is denying her that right for his own personal reasons. she has a social worker, is there a way the social worker can be made to comply with the conservatee's wishes and not the conservator?

Re: conservatorship

You might file a petition to remove the conservator and replace him/her with another person. You would have to provide sufficient evidence to explain why a change should be made in the best interest of the conservatee.
