Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Court clerical error.
I was recently arrested for a traffic ticket that I had already paid for a few years back, somehow it was put back into the system resulting in my being arrested and having to be bailed on a 50,000 dollar warrant. When I went to court I proved to the judge that I had paid this ticket she dismissed it but now I owe this bail bonds place 4,000 dollars plus the 1,000 cash I gave them to get me out, this is not right when it was some clerical error on the courts part, is there anything I can do to fix this so that i dont have to pay this bond and maybe get my money back since I should never have been in this situation in the first place? If you know if there is anyway that i can get the bail forfited or something so that i dont have this new 4,000 dollar debt i would appreciate any help you can give me. thank you.

You might re-post your question for a criminal attorney or one who handles traffic tickets. There should be a way. I just don't know what it is.
