Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
My daughter and I are being accused by a family member of filing a CPS report. Neither of us did, although we know who is responsible and are not sorry the report was filed. We are now being harassed by this family member, who is threatening legal action against us. As a teacher, I know that all reports are confidential, but this is getting old. Any suggestions?

You can't be sued for filing a CPS report, no matter how bogus the allegations nor how malicious the intent.
