A motion to tax costs must be served and filed within 15 days after service of the memorandum of costs. This is extended by 5 days if the memo of costs was served by mail. [CRC 3.1700(b)(1)].

The motion is heard on regular notice. 16 court days before hearing. [CCP 1005(b)]
