Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

detainment and illegal drug test

I was at a friends house when the police came in with a search warrannt. They informed us that (me and my friend) that we would be detained for a few hours until they found what they were looking for , they thought her boyfriend was a dealer. They called us in the bedroom one at a time, andn questioned us and I voluntarily let them search my bag and pockets. I wasn't hiding anything. I asked if I could go home about once an hour for the 7 hours they held me there against my will. They didn't find andy dope so they decided to take us all to the police station, and told me if I didn't pee in a cup I was going to jail. I am not on probation and I had nothing on me. Can they do this? I was forced and I'm sure if I resisted they would have arrested mne for resisting arrest. charged with UDI

Re: detainment and illegal drug test

Never volunteer for a search or urine test. Let them arrest you. Never speak one word to a cop except to ask for a lawyer. Contact a civil rights attorney in your locality about a possible lawsuit.
