Can I evict a roommate/ex-boyfriend who is a subtenant on a signed lease in California? Due to him making threatening statements and becoming violent.

You might want to get a domestic violence restraining order to protect yourself. It should contain a stay-away order, which could, in essence, force him to move. You could also give him a 30-day notice, but that won't be an immediate solution.
