Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Fight?

I got in a fight with someone months back and they're threatening to sue me for medical bills. I don't think I caused the injury as I saw them 2 days later and they were completely fine. I have no money and no lawyer, though this falls under small claims court anyway. What should I do?

Don't communicate with the person. If you're sued, file an answer and obtain evidence. Maybe round up as witnesses others who also saw that person in the time period in question.
