Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
how to file a complaint against a law firm
I just recently had a case 11550(A)H&S and payed ****** law firm $5500.00 to represent me and I was pleading not guilty on the grounds that the teststs were taken illegally. From the time I hired the firm until the court date i spoke on the phone frequently with the case manager, sent all my paperwork to their office, and it was quite clear (so I thought) what it was I expected for representation. I had 2 complaints that were supposed to be combined to one case. Well that didn't happen, the attorney that handled my case was not even briefed, and did not know anything about my case. He wanted to get the case over with right away and said he would get me court probation with some cummunity service. It wasn't what i wanted but that I could live with. Well when we went in fron of the judge that was not what happened and ta prop 36 was given to me. Then less then one week later I was arrested on the second case, and now the firm does not answer my calls, and the attorney that represented me said he would do the second case for me for half the price the firm charged me. (2500.00) This lawfirm ripped me off and I want to get my money back. How can I make a complaint, and how can I sue to get my money back..
