Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

When filling out \'Proof of Service by First Class Mail - Civil\' to ... Does that mean that an attorney representing the plaintiff in a case ... It would seem that an attorney is not a party to the case, but I can\'t find a rule regarding whether it is proper procedure for an attorney representing a party signing the proof of serivce.

If there's an attorney representing the other party, then you should have someone else sign the proof of service and mail a copy of the document to which it is attached to the other party's attorney. There is no need to send it to the other party directly.
