Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

my friend and i was on vacation in las vegas. something was stolen out of our room. we spoke with someone about the situation at the front desk, well the next day a security guard came to our room and did everything but call us black. so we went to the front desk to ask for a manger to make a complaint and the same security came in and was harrassing us. the end result was my friend ended up in handcuffs and i was almost arrested. the polce in nevada stated to us this is a civil matter. because the security guard had no reason to put his hands on us or even harrass us. several emails and phone calls was made to motel 6 and we have gotten no response. what do i do next?

You will have serious problems with proving what exactly happened when you were with the security guards.
