Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

My husband was arrested forDV during the night and our son was asleep. He didn't hear anything at all. The last time the police were at our house was 6 years ago. My son ended up being temporarily taken from us because of our alcoholism. We were granted reunification services got sober and got him back. So now. Child welfare services wants to interview my husband myself and my son. I am dropping the restraining order. This was a rare incident and we are sober. There is no court order. DO I HAVE TO TALK TO CPS WORKER AT ALL? I really don't want to. They have twisted my words in the past. WHAT ARE OUR RIGHTS IN THIS SITUATION?
