Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Hello iam a african american lesbian woman who was pulled over by a marina del rey sheriff officer and treated very poorly for no reason when the officer first approached me he thought i was a man, as he approached i asked why did he pull me over? he went on to say "i ran your plates and nothing came up" i then stated how is that i just got my plates yesterday 7-13-12 i've given you all my paperwork this officer then replied to me "you don't have to be an asshole" i responded sir i'm not being a asshole i have everything he then asked if i had a reciet i said a receit for what you have my regristration stating everything the officer then said your license is suspended i replied how is that? that's impossible the officer's response "not impossible cause it's suspended" i then informed the officer i was never informed of my license being suspended not through mail not from the dmv clerk that took care of my lic plates he then said your just going to continue being a asshole i could inpound your car and arrest you. i felt very intimidated my this officer and would like to know what are my rights for this misconduct in the behavior of this officer??

Contact the police station and make a complaint. If there are enough complaints by people similarly situated, there's a better chance that if the officer has a pattern of this kind of behavior that he could lose his job.
