An interpleader action occurs when someone holds an asset that belongs to someone else, but there are more than one people who claim a right to ownership or the asset. For example, an insurance company holds proceeds under a policy, but there are two heirs that are fighting for hte money.

In this case, the insurance company might file an interpleader action, name the people claiming ownership as parties, deposit the asset with the court, and let the people claiming ownership fight it out in court.

There is no form for this -- the papers must be drafted from scratch.
