Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Invasion of privicy

I am an administrative assistant working in a hospital in the HR department. An employee went through my purse while I was away from my desk. She took a photo of it and sent it to me a week later as a joke. I was upset and sent an e-mail to my manager and supervisor. Turns out that my manager was in the office when it happened, she and the employee are close friends and said that it was just a joke. My supervisor favors my manager and this other employee and insisted that it was a joke. Nothing was done to my manager or this employee. Do I have a case and financially what could this be worth?

Nothing. Lock your purse in your desk and don't trust the employee.
