Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Against the law in California?

I was informed by the plaintiff's counsel that in the state of California it is against the law to make a verbal contract to have an abortion. Please advise if this is indeed correct.

I would pay the doctor with a check or credit card to avoid this type of problem.
