Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Is it legal to send my 17 year old girlfriend to India to be married off.

Can a 17 US CItizen ( born here) be sent to India against her will. She started dating me and her parents do not like the fact that I am white. We both do great in high school, have good grades and so on. However my girlfriend can not qualify to be emancipated because her parents will not allowe her to get a job or have money. Please help me they are planning to marry her off maybe with in a week in their home land ( India). We live in California

You could call your local child abuse hotline. Or, marry her yourself.
