Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
What is the legality of 3 Indoor cameras all of which are facing either front or back doors but also view living space (living room) inside a vacation rental located inside an HOA community? Boils down to what is the legality to having those cameras indoor I'm a contracted vacation rental?

It can be argued that it is legal because the owner wants to protect the property. At the same time, I can see your view that since you are renting the premises, you should have a right to your privacy and the camera's presence is creepy. I would suggest speaking with the owner about disabling the camera for the living room or, if your rental agreement is silent about it, throwing a towel over the camera while you are there while making sure not to damage it.
