Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Ive been living with my boyfriend for 12 years and worked for his company for 8 yeasr. Business slowed down so we decided that I would remodle our house and still be on weekly payroll. Ive been injured several times and had to pay for my own medical bills. I have asked him to at least split the coast of the medical bills with me but he gets mad. Im still in a lot of pain. Also everything gets a paid vacation every year except me. When we first met I had a good job at another company. He told me to quit my job and that he would take care of me for the rest of my life . In a court trail with my exhusband he repeted the same statement on the witness stand in front of a judge. Now he wants me to just walk anyway with nothing which is hardly fair to me. I feel that he ows me a weekly check until I retire at 65. as for the house I can prove that I put just as much money into our house as he did. I have a letter that he wrote and signed that he would pay me a 125,000.00 he tore it in half but i still have it. Now he threatend me with a laywer and told me to move. So what are my oppitions and what kind of lawyer do I need. There are many more things that are mentaly draining. Reguards Dana Williamson

It would seem that you qualify for palimony [Lee Marvin v. Michele Marvin], may have been entitled to Workers' Comp. benefits if the injuries were work related, have a valid complaint the Labor Board might look at, may be entitled to unemployment benefits, are entitled to half the value of the house and may have an equal right to live there, etc. You need to go to an expert divorce lawyer to find out what your right, benefits, and game plan are or should be. Your situation is too complicated to be answered on this Site. You can not handle this alone.
