Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I got a message in our answering machine looking for my Dad and me from 1-877-622-3286 stating that it's a time sensitive matter with a case reference # and i have to call before 10am or actions will be taken something like that but when i called it said that they're looking for my dad or my step mom and i said "whats that got to do with me?" she said my father listed me as a contact. when i asked what is this about the lady said it was a district 7 case and can't go into detail. So she asked where my father is and i told her i have no contact with my father because he left a long time ago but he used to live with us and then she asked for my step mom but we're not really close so i have no connection with her whatsoever she kept asking if i know where he is (if i do i would) but my dad haven't contacted us ever since he left and now the lady is saying that he has a court date in 2days and his failure to appear will lead to me getting a subpoena and testifying in his place. i told the lady "how am i suppose to testify on something i have no idea whats it about?" and she just said that is whats gonna happen and that she has another call and she hanged up.
