Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
money
My husband is on disability and I am the only person working. We are behind on alot of our bills and we try to make arragements with the companies. One in particular is my car payment. I have explained to them the situation and they keep saying they will put the car in repo. My check only covers the rent and the next one pays the bills. We do not know what my husband disability checks are going to be and what ever it is we are behind on. We in fact have no hot water because at this time we can afford it. I was wondering until my husband disability checks become the same how can we work with our creditors. Any advice would be helpful

Re: money
Have you considered filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy? It could wipe out existing credit card bills. You would have to pay rent and car payments (and living expenses like food and utilities). You could consult with an attorney in your area about doing so.
