Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Money judgment

I have a 7 yr old uncollected judgment -unlawful detainer. I have filed an abstract of judgment. I know the judgment is good for ten yrs and can be renewed. What is the process to do this? Thank you for your time,

Bruce

Re: Money judgment

Within several weeks before the judgment is to expire, you file a form with the court entitled "Notice of Renewal of Judgment." Give it enough time because the court might have a delay. You also serve it by mail on the judgment debtor. Once you get a certified copy back from the court, you record it with the county recorder. Why not hire someone to collect on it?
