occupation libel?

I am a real estate agent in california i represented the buyers in a purchase and the sellers agent was not very thorough in real estate contracts therefore made mistakes. The sellers have posted a written statement on the internet in regards to my charcater that is untrue and damaging my reputation, i had no contract with the sellers and all that is written is false,Do i have a case for libel?

Assuming that the information is untrue, and that it is damaging to your reputation, then it seems as if you may have a valid defamation claim.

If demonstrably false statements are made that damage you, yes, you would have grounds to sue. It would be in your best interests to get the material removed. I would suggest you start with having your attorney send a demand letter with all your requirements, and see if that solves the problem to your satisfaction.
