Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Personal discrimination and harrassment.

We live in a community governed by CC&Rs. We have installed a portable shed and spa gazebo. We have followed the CC&R rules and have received Architectual Committee Approval. Now, because of a personal vendetta by a neighbor against us who is on the ACC Committee they are pressuring us to paint our spa gazebo to match our home even though they previously approved the stain color in writing. We feel that we are being unfairly harassed because there are other neighbors who have permanent buildings that are required to match their homes but do not and these neighbors are not being pressured or even asked to paint their out buildings to match their homes. What can we do? Should we respond by saying that they initially approved it but now because of a personal vendetta they are going back on their approval and let it stand at that. We are not going to paint our portable spa gazebo to match our home as it would take away from the beauty of the grey stain of the gazebo. Thank you.

Re: Personal discrimination and harrassment.

I am sorry, but this is a civil rights case? You are being asked to paint your gazebo a different color and this is a violation of your civil rights? I must be on the wrong planet.
