Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Police Brutality
During the arrest of my father the officers used a procedure known as hog-tying to control him. this procedure is strictly agaisnt policy here because it is known to cause positional asphyxiation. My father stopped breathing shortly after being tied. The official cause of death was meth overdose but i believe he may have lived had they used correct procedures. My question is; is there any hope of legally pursuing the fact that incorrect procedure was used?

absolutely. if there is a written policy regarding such illegal use of this tactic in your jurisdiction, for the reasons you mentioned specifically, you would have a very strong claim for wrongful death here. if you would like a free phone consultation on this matter, email us directly with your contact information today.
