Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

The police came to my house when my girlfriend called them because I was intoxicated and locked her out of the home we share. I was asleep and didn't open the door for them, so they pried the lock open, got me outside, handcuffed me without telling me why they were there, hogtied me, placed a bag over my head and beat on me with their fists and clubs, kicked me all over my body for 30 minutes and took me to jail where I remained for six days. They told my girlfriend they cleaned up my blood on our walkway without taking pictures. The only proof I have is my mug shot and the bruises and abrasions on my arms, face and hip. There were 12 of them, I am a 61 year old male, 6'0", 155 lbs and of course hogtied by my hands and feet. They are claiming that I kicked one of the officers. When my girlfriend saw the picture, she didn't recognize me at first because I had been so badly beaten. I cannot imagine that anyone viewing my injuries would construe it as normal restraint. They started beating on me after I was tied up and I don't even know what they arrested me for in the first place. The only charges are assault and battery of a police officer and resisting arrest, so what was the initial arrest for? I was asleep inside my home alone. My girlfriend made four attempts to visit me in jail and every attempt was thwarted. At my arraignment the judge forbade me to return to my home even though my girlfriend does not agree with it. She couldn't attend because it was a video arraignment. The police telephoned her prior to my arraignment and tried to convince her to extend the TRO, when she refused, due to the fact that there was no assault or battery, the Domestic Violence charge was dropped and yet the judge extended a TRO of his own accord. What should I do about the police brutality and the restraining order?

They arrested you for being sloppy drunk, locking your girlfriend out of the house, and kicking a police officer. You probably don't even remember because you were so drunk. If you really want to do something about the situation, quit drinking already.
