Re: Recording phone calls

Under federal law and the law of most states the permission of one party to a telephone conversation is all that is necessary to properly record the conversation.

One MUST distinquish the use of the recorded material, however, from its creation, as the subject matter of a lawfully recorded phone conversation can be unlawfully used if one is not careful.

Laws vary from state-to-state, however, and some states require that ALL parties to a conversation be notified in some manner - some require a beep during recording, others require advance advice of recording.
