I ahve a court date in 8/08 but I just recieved a entry of early default what should I do?

Run to a lawyer to help you file a motion to set aside the default. Hopefully, you knew nothing about the lawsuit beforehand and can explain why. Of course, if you owe the debt, then it probably wouldn't be worth fighting it, but a lawyer might be able to help you negotiate it.
