Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
We came to a settlement I paid $4000 and the acct was to be settled. The loan officer stated it would be cleared from the record as if we never did buisness under California civil code section 1542. On my credit report they reported charged off instead of settled. That was not my understanding of the civil code which is what I signed for a general release. What can I do?

If you didn't get it in writing, too bad, no whining.
