Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Website Campaign Donors List

In searching my name on the Internet, I came across an online newspapers website with a corporate location in New York and that listed my name, address, the name of the candidate I supported and the amount of money donated to this candidate. A week ago, I requested that this website remove my address as I believe it is a privacy and security issue but they have not done so to date. Along with my name are the names and addresses of several other employees who work for the same company. I have even found the names and home addresses of attorneys I know as I used to work in that industry.

Is this legal and is there a way to stop this? So far my request has been ignored. Thank you.

Re: Website Campaign Donors List

The political donation you made is public information and, like all information, it will stay on the internet forever.
