Legal Question in Technology Law in California
My 17 year old step-daughter made a facebook page about another student in school. The page was more about exposing the other student's lies and hypocrisy. Nothing my step-daughter wrote or posted was made up or edited: Everything she quoted from this kid was taken directly from his own facebook page. She also did not insult or threaten him in any way. Does what she did constitute cyberbullying? Again, everything one would find disagreeable on her made-up page could also be found on the other student's own page. All my step-daughter did was consolidate his extreme views onto one page. Also, the other student's page is open to public viewing on facebook for all to see.
