Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Collecting Information From Websites

I am starting a website that will allow users to search for the best priced aircraft in a particular area. I'm gathering these prices for my database using each company's website, which very clearly displays the prices for their aircraft, along with details about the plane. I can also get this information by walking into the airplane sales places and asking. Do I need consent from each company to put this information (aircraft price & details) in my searchable database? No one will pay to use my site, however, I will be charging for advertising.

Thanks.

Re: Collecting Information From Websites

You might try looking at sidestep.com and nexttag (nextag?).com. I would be surprised to learn that these sites pay or otherwise get permission from the sites where they get the prices.
