Legal Question in Technology Law in California
Dear Sir,
We are in the pharma business and are in the process of finalizing a website for ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) Specialists wherein we will finance a particular web design Company to launch our website which is like Google.
For eg. When we go to Google and click on the news section of Google, all the latest news in different newspapers like Times of India, Indian Express, Economic Times etc. in India and around the world are highlighted in the webpage of Google News.
Our website will lead to the portals which will be individual and private websites of different entities. This website will give the current views and latest changes in the field of ENT.
I would like to have clarity on the following points :
1. Whether such website will be in violation of cyber laws and copyright laws ?
2. Are we permitted to have a link in our website which opens in a website which has the latest development in the Medical field ?
3. Do we need to take permissions from such website before creating a link in our website wherein a net user, if interested, clicks on to the link which will open in the individual website where the information is ?
4. Will be incur any financial liability or claim any damages by doing so ?
