Legal Question in Technology Law in California
Dissatisfied Customer
A man was running a small network of 486's. I offered that he buy used computers for $125.00 I could get him a couple of 200Mhz computers, used, not state of the art, but anything would be better than his current equipment. He agreed.
My next visit I set up both computers. When the man got back from the bar (that is where he spent his time while I was working) he began to verbally harrass me. After hours of his unprofessional mannerism and insults I left. Both computers were in fine working condition when I left
Since that appointment he has called almost every day regarding small issues. His current complaint is one computer logs on to the internet fine..but when trying to enter a password (on any site), the browser crashes.
I told them that my schedule was booked for this week and followed up with a polite email asking him that I did not feel comfortable being his consultant anymore. He has responded with allegations to sue me for ALL services rendered. He does not want me to take the computers back, which proves to me that he is not that unsatified with the equipment. Instead he wants me to pay for another computer consultant to go and fix his problem or give him a full refund.
