Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Is the domain etrade-online.com infringes etrade .com trademarks

I've registered in the past, the domain etrade-online.com ,for the use in a commercial goods trading site.My project for that site still on hold.

A couple of buyers have contacted me with interest in buying the domain.

Recently I've received a warning letter by etrade.com lawyers ,arguing that my domain is infringing their trademarks registration which as far as i know are "only for the intern.class 36"(financial services),and threatened with legal action if i use or sell the

domain.

I never contacted etrade.com,to offer or sell them the name because i did not register the name in bad faith for that purpose, not either to extort any money from them as probably they think.

So,my domain infringes their trademarks as etrade said ?,What are the risks involve?

Can i use or sell the domain with peace of mind ?

By the way,etrade-online.com which is made of generic words for general electronic trade of all kind of goods and services ,and it was free for registration when i did it.I believe a multibillon dollar company as etrade should have registered it first if they

considered potentially danger for their business.

I will highly appreciate and listening your suggestions.

Thanks
