Legal Question in Technology Law in California
Ex-Girlfriend Distributing My Personal Emails
My ex-girlfriend somehow got my personal email account password and has pulled logs of me communicating intimately with other girls. She just just send them out to my friends and family. They contain some pretty personal stuff about me and some other people as well. Is this illegal? What are my options? Not sure if this is a privacy question or a computer and technology question...

Change your password and make sure it doesn't "somehow get" distributed again.
Re: Ex-Girlfriend Distributing My Personal Emails
Accessing your email account without your permission was a crime. Reading and distributing its contents was an invasion of privacy, for which your ex-girlfriend may be civilly liable. Whether you want to sue her and/or try to get her prosecuted is for you to decide.
