Legal Question in Technology Law in California

I'm a graphic Artist, If I take the Microsoft logo and place it on a colorful background/backdrop I made and give it out free on the Internet not charging people for it for them to use for there wallpaper if they want to, could Microsoft sue me for intellectual property or copyright/trademark infringement for using there logo?
