Legal Question in Technology Law in California

hacking/unauthorized access

Hi

A person names A went through divorce process and he stored scanned notarized divorce settlement documents in his yahoo email.

Another Person B hacked into A's email and stole those documents ( saved those documents )

Person B wrote an email as Person C ( he created new yahoo account as anonymous ) to a big email chain and cc to A and couple of others with those notarized documents attached.

Person A is sure that those documents are stolen by reading his send emails.

Person A's image is damaged as it went to big email chain.

We traced back the source of email from email headers and came to conclusion Person B and Person C are same. As we do have Person B's email headers and Person C's ( Unknown he thinks ) email headers traced to same address ( which is probably work place ).

Now Person A want to sue Person C by proving him as person B for stealing his private notarized documents.

I would like to have suggestion on this to further proceed. We are desperate to sue him.

We would like to know how to proceed with this matter and interested to work with you.

Re: hacking/unauthorized access

I am not sure I understand the situation as you describe it. Has Person A lost money as a result of the theft? Was the divorce case affected? What other types of damages did you suffer?

It sounds like you believe that you have a strong case, and may only be asking about whether you can prove that Persons B and C are the same. If so, you are seeking legal advice specific to your exact circumstances, and you should hire an attorney to provide that advice.

I believe that we have also left voicemail messages for each other, so I will not provide my telephone number here, but I would like to point you to computercounsel.com, a list of other attorneys that might be interested in discussing your case.
