Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Internet advertisement: Google AdSense non-refund

My website used to use Google AdSense. However, we got an e-mail from them that they terminated our account for invalid clicks. We got no warning before that e-mail. The account was terminated, but we never got the $500 back that they owed us. Can they keep that money? Is there a way for us to get it after all? Their terms of service are published here: https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms

Re: Internet advertisement: Google AdSense non-refund

the general terms indicate that you are not entitled to a refund / payment of / for invalid clicks.

If this is the case and the general terms are valid I do not see a good case for you.

We are willing to further investigate the case, i.e. the validity of your claim, if requested, however we would charge an initial amount of 500,-- euro. Given your claim this would not seem wise.
