internet pics on my website

i am so excited, i just bought my first website and i have come to my first roadblock. there are millions of pics on the web that i can use, but which are legal? i notice a ''may'' be subject to copyright. thank you very much for your time and energy

There are plenty of sites that sell you pics and others that specifically let you use theirs, but can't legally use any pics from anywhere else except under very limited conditions, especially if you intend to make money off of your site.
