Legal Question in Technology Law in California

I left my pc unlocked and left my desk for a while in my work place.I have doubt somebody (unfriendly)might have accessed my computer during this time. I checked all logs on my pc which looks good but I can't be sure about emails.Somebody might use this time and sent email from my (organizational) email account .If that really happened, how can I deny sending any such email ? How can court identify the real person who used this email id ?Is the owner of the email id automatically held responsible and accountable without doubt in such cases.

There are hackers getting into email accounts all the time. It happed to my law partner recently. They use the available relays to send SPAM emails to people.

Regards to your specific case, the facts greatly matter as well as the context. If this is of serious concern, I would discuss it over with a lawyer in private.

If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.

Our firm is now referred by the American Bar Association (see under the New York section):
