Re: Pornography

I'm not aware of any state or Federal law that specifically prohibits such matter.

The fact is, the First Amendment is very powerful, and government isn't permitted to impose many content-based restrictions on speech and media.

However, some local governments may have ordinances on this subject, relating specifically to the publicly funded library and the computers provided there. Most libraries probably have written policies that they can enforce.

Contact the library in question and register your complaint. Send a copy to all city council members, and to the local newspapers.

My guess is you'll see some action. Nobody wants kids exposed to this stuff.

Re: Pornography

Adult porn is legal, but most libraries or municipalities have requirements that prohibit viewing porn on their computers. Mr. Firemark has made good suggestions.
