In California, what is the difference between a California Senate Bill, Assembly Bill, and California Code?

A Senate Bill is a proposed statute that began as a bill in the State Senate, an Assembly Bill is a bill initiated in the State Assembly. A California Code provision is a proposed statute that has been approved by both houses and signed into law by the Governor.
