Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California
my husband had surgery in may 2009. in feb 2010 i received an explanation of benefits from the ins co for anesthesia relating to the surgery. never received a bill. in feb 2011 i received a revised eob from ins co increasing the amount the ins co was paying anesthesia group. at end of feb 2011 i received my first statement ever from the anesthesia group. after 2 statements, they have sent me to a collection co, and want payment within 30 days or they will impact my credit report. what are my obligations as to the bill that was sent nearly 2 years after surgery?
